Circle contact lenses are larger than normal contact lens. Circle contact lens run larger in diameter to cover the white area of the eyes to give off the appearance of larger irises. Normal contact lenses cover just the iris of the eye. Due to this larger diameter it gives the appearance of "doe eyes" or the poplar "manga" cartoon look.

This trend started in South Korea, and is popular in Asian countries. The circle contact lens was designed to give Asian's the "Ullzzang" look. The Ullzzang look is classified as big eyes, fair skin and high bridged nose. Ullzzang simply means good looking. Now the secret is out how so many Asian's give off the appearance of their big doll eyes, but are they safe?

According to an article published by CNN, Circle contacts are illegal in the United States and could lead to severe damage to ones eyesight. Due to circle contacts being manufactured in Asian, there is no supervision or guidelines to how circle contacts are made there are added risks of infections and overuse. Contact lens are meant to be fitted by a licensed professional, this includes contacts worn strictly to change the appearance of the eyes. When contacts are ordered online, they are not fitted by a licensed professional.

Circle contacts that are bought online are not properly fitted for your eyes. Due to this, these contacts can dry out easily while leading to diseases of the eye. Rarely, yet happens, leading to blindness.

Is Lady Gaga's new circle eye trend a possible danger to her adoring fans who want to jump in her new exciting "doe" eye appearance?
