Citizens Bank Eco Friendly Green$ense
Can Green $ense Realy Put an Extra $120.00 In Your Pocket Every Year?
So how does Citizens Bank's new eco-friendly Green$ense work?
You can enroll any Citizens Bank personal checking account into the Green$ense program. One you enroll in Green$ense, you will be issued a new debit card in the mail from Citizens Bank with in 7-10 business days. This is your new eco-friendly Green$ense card. Every time you make a purchase with your eco-friendly Citizens Bank Green$ense card, you are rewarded with 0.10 cents into your Green$ense account.
You will also need to sign up for paperless statements through Citizens Bank, which means you will get an e-statement notification in your e-mail from Citizens Bank, every month, letting you know your Citizens Bank statement is ready for viewing. I find that this is so much more convenient anyway, since paper clutter can be an issue for me anyways! You can then, log into your Citizens bank account and view your current months statement - even go back as far as 24 months in many cases! This is a great feature that Citizens Bank offers, whether you sign up with Green$ense or not.
You will also receive a .10 reward every time you pay a bill, using Citizens Bank online bill pay option, instead of writing a check! If you already have an Citizens Bank online account,, you may have already used the bill pay feature. If not, you just have to set up a few things, such as payee names and address and you are set! Each transaction that you do using Citizens Bank online bill pay qualifies you for rewards on Green$ense as well as setting up recurring payments onto your Citizens Bank account directly from the payees! So if your cable bill is automatically set to deduct payments from your Citizens Bank checking account,
Now, Citizens bank does limit the rewards you can receive through Green$ense. You can earn up to $120.00 per year. In order to make the 120.00 per year, you would have to have 1,200 qualified eco-friendly paper free charges to to account annually. With only 365 days a year - that's almost 4 purchases a day! I don't think i will make that cut off, but I am earning something for doing nothing. Citizens Bank is willing to pay you to help reduce your "foot print" on the earth by agreeing to accept e-statements, use a new debit card, and stop writing checks, instead use Citizens bank free bill pay service. How cool is that? I think it's pretty cool!
You can get more from Citizens Bank new eco-friendly Green$ense rewards program by using your debit card frequently by breaking up payments. This may also help you budget! Let's say a Green$ense customer has a 60.00 phone bill due every month. This Green$ense customer gets paid weekly. They can pay their cell phone bill, four times a month at 15.00 each time and quadruple their rewards! If a Citizens Bank Green$ense customer did that with all of their bills, they may make a good chunk of change each month, adding to lots of Green$ense if you will.
