The public art campaign is a vital part of the rich and diverse experience visitors and residents alike experience while walking the street of Downtown Birmingham. The Birmingham Public Arts Board has been looking into an unique and educational opportunity from the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey to obtain a piece of steel from the World Trade Center to create a local 9/11 memorial. The board is asking for anyone interested in donating money in putting together a beautiful memorial to contact Joe Valentine at 248-530-1809. We need your help to continue educating our youth and residents on important cultural and art experiences within our city's limits.
