City Officials in Fort Worth Texas Say Neighborhood Haunted House Poses Safety Hazard and Must Be Torn Down
The city of Fort Worth said that the Haunted House structure violates safety, fire and a few other codes because the structure is too large and poses a huge safety hazard to the public.
Brandon Bennett who is with the Fort Worth Code Compliance office said that neither he or the city of Fort Worth wants to be the bad guy in this situation but the city is only looking out for the safety of the children as well as adults who might have walked through the Haunted House.
Several kids said that they were disappointed that this Haunted House would not be here this Halloween because this had become a tradition for them every year and that they always looked forward to seeing what the next Halloween Haunted House would bring. Even though the Haunted House will not be there, The Domms purchased 800 bags of candy, which they will still be handing out but said that this Halloween will be disappointing not only to them but to the kids. Mrs. Domm stated in another interview that they will begin tearing down the Haunted House on Saturday, October 24th.
