Civet's Odyssey is a Flash-based animation created by Newgrounds.com designer Arief Raditya (belugerin) and Newgrounds.com programmer agunginet. The main theme is based on the song track titled Forest Ambient created by Newgrounds.com user Cuzone. Civet's Odyssey was submitted to Newgrounds.com on March 18, 2010, one day after St. Patrick's Day, and won a Daily 2nd Place award on March 19, 2010.

Game Background

Your two best friends have just had their precious belongings blown away by a strong gust of wind. As they weep in their misery and misfortune, you show up to the rescue and decide to help your two best friends retrieve their lost luggage.

Gameplay

The objective of Civet's Odyssey is to recover the precious belongings of your two best friends.

This is essentially a point and click puzzle game, with a large number of quests and riddles for you to solve. After the initial visual sequence that shows your friends losing their items due to a strong gust of wind, you will be on your way along your adventure. Simply start clicking around to begin your daring and heroic odyssey. Click all suspicious objects to help you along the way.

Point and click your way through the many puzzles to complete the game.

You can access a walkthrough by pressing the question mark (?) that is located in-game at the top left hand corner of the screen. The link will take you to a walkthrough video, along with text, that can help you when you get stuck with the puzzles in the game. Also at the top left hand corner of the screen is a sound button that you can click to toggle the audio of this submission.

Game Review

What greatly adds to this game's replay value is the fact that there are three different endings for this game, depending on how you go about performing the different tasks throughout the game. The cute graphics and game characters help add to the game's overall visual appeal.

Civet's Odyssey scores an 8/10 for great visual appeal, a good amount of entertainment value, and a good amount of replay value.
