Civiballs: Xmas Levels

Civiballs: Xmas Levels is a flash animation puzzle game created by Newgrounds.com programmer PITon32 and sponsored by King.com. This Christmas edition of Civiballs was submitted to Newgrounds.com on December 14, 2009 and won a Daily 3rd Place award on December 15, 2009.

Gameplay

If you are familiar with Civiballs games, then you will understand how this game works. For those of you unfamiliar with Civiballs, the objective of this game is to get all the balls into the correct box. Match the color of the ball with the color of the box. Utilize the obstacles in the way to help you complete each level.

To drop balls, simply cut the chains that hold them up. Cut the balls in a strategically planned order in order to get the correct colored balls in the corresponding colored boxes. Get all the right balls in the right box to advance to the next stage.

Your score is based on how quickly you complete the stage. At the left side of the screen, there will be a timer that will count down as soon as you start the stage. The timer will continue counting down until you have completed the stage. Once you have matched all the right balls with the right boxes and completed the stage, the timer will stop. This value will then be your score for that stage and will be added to your total score.

At the top-right of the screen, there is a Level button that, when clicked, can take you to the selection of levels for the game. Under the Level button, there is a Restart button that, when clicked, will restart your current level so you may try again. Pressing this button also restarts the timer.

Under the Restart button is a See Solution! button that, when clicked, will take you to a separate window/tab, where you can a link to all the solutions for the game.

This game has two sets of levels. One set of 10 levels is played indoors, while the second set of 10 levels is played with an outdoor setting. In order to unlock a level, you must complete the level before it. Complete both set of 10 levels to complete the whole game.

Game Review

Civiballs: Xmas Levels is a fun holiday-themed game. The level of difficulty will challenge puzzle-lovers of all ages, and the holiday theme can help get people in the holiday spirit. The music for the game is also quite nice, as it adds a little more Christmas feeling to the game.

Civiballs: Xmas Levels scores a 7/10 for being a fun puzzle game with a good amount of levels and entertainment value.
