CJT Takes the Lead

I introduced Dirty Lil Secrets to the online world a couple weeks ago and this past weekend I sat down with the lead guitarist for a one on one interview. He seemed completely passionate about music, politics, religion and WWE wrestling entertainment. That's right I said wrestling entertainment, in fact I looked around and found myself staring at hundreds of wrestling figurines like Rey Mysterio, Stone Cold Steve Austin and Rob Van Dam. Mixed in with an entire studio worth of musical instruments, recording equipment and a slew of baby toys.

LF: "So who is CJT?"

CJT: "A guitar slinging, singing songwriting Father or 7 and Husband of 12+ years to my beautiful Frog!

LF: "What would you say your influences are?"

CJT "All things that Rock! Classic and Southern Rock, Heavy Metal, R&B, Hip-Hop, Rap, Alternative and Country. Our band is deeply influenced by everything we hear and our sound reflects that. We follow no trends we just play what feels right. Maybe if Johnny Cash hooked up with Korn and Kanye to do an Alternative Classic Rock Album you'd get close to our sound, well maybe not?!"

LF: "Who is DLS?"

CJT: "DLS is Straight up and honest! The world is full of dirty lil secrets ! From grandmas house to the grocery store, Washington DC to the TV."

LF: "So what do you want to accomplish?"

CJT: "Spread our music like a virus and infect the world, go Platinum in many Countries!! But going triple plastic in a couple Counties would be fine too." he says tongue in cheek with a huge grin. "Of course a great audience, maybe a Fender and Addidas sponsorship. Rock Superstardom for my kids, cause their stuff will blow my music away one day!!"

LF: "Anything you want to say?"

CJT: "Believe in Yourself and trust no one, except for your Spouse or REAL family(not just blood, anyone who is willing to be there when you are feeding your kids by going to the blood bank and selling everything you've ever had, that is your REAL family).

Believe in your children more. Illuminate your Chakras and open your 3rd Eyes, we have too many people who believe everything they see and hear and not enough questioning the sources!! Everything I see is a lie trying to sell the Truth. Cause it's easy to see the Truth when they sell a lie , isn't it? Maybe if We can get people to think in terms of not just believing everything and everyone they see, well maybe we can get people to believe in Themselves.

With that he grabs up his two year and jumps right back into helping his wife keep up with their 6 kids. Their house is a whirlwind of constant activity and its an amazing scene to come upon if you do not know the situation beforehand. They record in the dining room and eat dinner in their recording studio, it all seems to balance and work for them I guess that's the real secret to their sound.
