Clairol Natural Instincts Hair Color Recall on 10 Colors; Use These Alternative Brands and Shades
Product Will Be Back in May
The problem had nothing to do with the color itself, it's the ColorFresh, that could possibly changed the color of your hair. This is the product most of us use after the 2 week period, to freshen the new color up. Can you still use the hair color? Yes, you do not need to throw it away, just get rid of the booster or as some people would call it the revitalizer or glosser. So now that you are out of the one product (booster) what can you do to replace it?
Simple solution, make your own. For instance red berries can help boost red hair, coffee for brown hair, chamomile and lemon for blondes, and black henna mixed with shampoo for black hair. Make sure though to place vaseline or conditioner on back of neck, forehead, and around ears to prevent any staining on the skin.
If you are one of those people who freak when they hear recall or voluntary recall on a product, try to find an alternative to the color shade your using. Examples:
Clairol Instincts Spiced Tea- This is a light auburn shade. You can do Revlon ColorSilk light auburn, Clairol Perfect 10 light auburn, Loreal Superior light auburn, Clairol Nice N Easy light auburn, or Garnier Nutrisse light auburn.
Clairol Raspberry Creme- This is a rich medium auburn. Choose Revlon Colorist in medium auburn, Revlon ColorSilk in medium auburn, Clairol Perfect 10 in medium auburn, L'Oreal Natural Match in medium auburn, or even Clairol Hydrience in russet glow.
Ebony Mocha- Ebony Mocha is a deep brown black shade almost like a rich dark chocolate. The best match for this color is John Frieda Precision Foam Color in 3n deep brown black.
Sun Kissed Blonde- Here you have a medium neutral blonde shade. For an alternative you can use Clairol Nice N Easy 103A natural medium neutral blonde, Wella Color Charm in medium blonde, Clairol Professional medium neutral blonde, Clairol Perfect 10 in medium neutral blonde, and Clairol Soy 4 Plex in medium neutral blonde. So you see there are plenty of alternatives, when a beauty hair color recalls happens.
Make sure to refresh your color at least every three weeks. This will give life back to your color, shine, and fullness.
