There you sit

in your rented car

talking on your cell phone

who are you talking to?

you have no girlfriend
your mother's dead
you wet the bed
you pick your nose
your funny clothes don't fit you.

you wasted your life

you wasted your dreams

who are you talking to?

no one is home

at the other end of the line

you're pretty important

for a man who can barely tie his own shoes.
