Classic '80s Music Reviews

1980s classic music is fit for fans of all locations and ages. I can remember how it was, over 20 years ago, listening to the soft music in the night time. Here is a review of some of the favorites within the genre of classic '80s music. Included are the title and artists of the albums.

1. Peaceful Evening by David & Steve Gordon. Released off the label Sequoia, this is an album in the New Age genre. Style described as contemporary instrumental and relaxation, Peaceful Evening features 11 tracks. This album was originally released in 1982 and rereleased in 2002.

2. SATIE: Piano Music by Roland Pontinen. With artist Erik Satie, Roland Pontinen provides 29 tracks of low key piano music in the Classical music genre. This album was released by BIS/IODA on January 31, 1986.

3. Element of Light by Robyn Hitchcock. This album was released by Yep Roc Records/Redeye and features Robyn Hitchcock and the Egyptians. Element of Light features 20 tracks and was released in 1986, being rereleased on August 18, 2002.

4. Master-Dik by Sonic Youth. With 9 total tracks, Master-Dik was released by Goofin'/Revolver. Sonic Youth, bringing Alternative Punk to anyone with ears! This album was originally released in 1987.

5. The Window by Steve Lacy Trio. This album was released in December 31, 1988, off of the label Soul Note/CAM. With 6 total tracks, The Window is a favorite classic '80s album.
