Classic Muscle Cars Will Never Die

Classic muscle cars will never die, people will always love the sharp body lines, and high crowns in the body work of the cars. Classic cars have always captured the imagination of the people, and they have a certain class and style that just can't be duplicated. They have thundering high horse power engines that deliver an excitement that can't be found in any other car, people will never lose their passion to restore, and drive these cars; they like being different from the rest of the crowd, and having a car that doesn't look like any other car on the road. Yes, there will always be classic car lovers, I remember back in the late 1970's when the politicians were trying to wipe them out. One of the car magazines published a cover with a grave stone that said RIP high performance, born in 1955 dies in 1979.Although it didn't happen, they gave it the old college try, and us die hard muscle car freaks stood our ground, and back then they were doing it for the same reasons as today, they had a bunch of eco-hippies trying to push the fossil fuels are bad agenda.

But it hasn't changed for us, the true classic car lovers, the ones who will never let the classic cars die. Again we will stand our ground, except the few idiots that have decided to buy in to the whole green agenda, I'm not ready to give up one of the things that I live for just yet.

The classic car craze started back in the 1950's when people began to modify cars in their garages; they'd purchase cars from the 1920's up and add their own home built high performance, and custom modifications to make their cars look good, and stand out from the crowd.

This turned in to the motor sport of drag racing during the mid to late 1950's, when people like Vic Edelbrock built goodies that made the cars go faster, and hot rodding was born; this would develop into the muscle car wars of the 1960's, and create some of the coolest cars ever built.

As car manufactures saw an opportunity to promote the companies on the race tracks, the Ford Mustang was created to do battle with the Chevrolet Corvette, a battle that it never won, and this would encourage Chevrolet to release the Camaro in 1967.

The Camaro, and the Mustang were probably the most popular muscle cars ever built in the history of the muscle car era, these two cars were very evenly matched, and this made for some great auto manufacture rivalry, and created the American muscle car.

Still to this very day that battle rages on with the 'Big Three,' they have all once again stepped up to the plate and released some very cool muscle cars, and once again the war is on, they have all done a great job with the retro recreations of these cars.
