Collections
Introverted children can benefit from starting collections. This project can be brought into the classroom as a fun and meaningful activity and aspect of many lessons. Collections can be a part of larger projects that will allow introverted children to add their own special touch to the activity. Collections of documents, scientific materials, images, and other interesting materials are fun to introverted children; this can also add a new and detailed step to your originally planned activities and lessons.
Creating Shadow Boxes
Shadow boxes are fun for many students, and introverted children can benefit from this activity. Introverted students like to work with the ideas inside themselves, and creating a shadow box to fill with their thoughts is a perfect way to get an introverted child excited about an activity. Using shoeboxes, magazines, paper, and other odds and ends have introverted children work on shadow boxes as independent work or in coordination with group projects.
Writing
Introverted children find writing as an excellent way to learn because they deal mainly with their independent thoughts and emotions. Writing through means of essays, journal entries, and poetry are all easy ways to inspire introverted children to get involved in the classroom activities. This type of activity can be based by itself or added to group projects to make introverted children feel part of the group. Introverted children can use writing as a group activity by taking notes, writing poetry or observations about the project as side notes, or they can simply work on the written part of the projects.
Caring for Pets and Plants
Introverted children do not like spending time in big crowds, and plants and animals are a great way to teach an introverted child about caring for others. Pets and plants are a fun activity that will provide an introverted child with the feeling of being responsible, and it will inspire them to learn.
Introverted children are common in the classroom, and it is necessary to provide them with activities to make them feel valuable. It is also important to create activities that get these students involved because it will increase their ability to learn and comprehend the lesson. Introverted children will enjoy these classroom activities, and these activities will provide a broader spectrum to your teaching criteria in the classroom.
