Everyone's got a tight budget this year. Whether it is out of necessity or worry for something around the bend, it is the smart thing to keep a close eye on your money. When my son requested a camping trip for his birthday, I wasn't 100% sure how I was going to make it happen, with only the Amish TV (campfire) to entertain us.

When we camp, it is tent only. So we need a place with a little activity. This can get very pricey. When I came across the website for Clay's resort, just an hour south of where I live, I thought it was too good to be true. Included in your fee for a night of camping, is 2 days in the park. What is in the park? you say. Well, for starters, there is a man-made swimming lake. A rather large one, with water slides. Small ones for the little kids, and big ones for the big kids. There is also a zip line, monkey bars, and several diving boards.

They also include the use of kayaks and paddles boats in your stay. There is a mini golf course near the entrance with bike rentals and a paint ball field. There is also a skate ramp, for the more adventurous. If it is rainy, enjoy the indoor heated pool, whirlpool, sauna, and steam room. Run out of bug spray? There is a store, laundry mat, restaurant (with Sunday breakfast buffet!) and bar with a large screen TV. You can even order a pizza and have it delivered to your site. You can bring your RV, or rent a cabin. There are also playground throughout the 500 acre park.

Enjoy fishing? You can do that too, in the separate fishing lake. Bait and other fishing needs are also available at the quaint shop, which is centrally located.

Want to stay dry? They have volleyball and tennis courts. The weekend we went, there was a Homeland Security and Safety Festival going on. That is not why we went, and we initially thought we would not be interested. But when we saw the police equipped helicopter come in for a landing right in the middle of the field, we thought we would go check it out. They also did a jaws of life demonstration, and took apart a couple of cars. There were gyros, clowns making balloon animals, and music. They have events there all summer long. You can check them out at the website http://www.clayspark.com or go on a nice quiet weekend. Whatever you like!

The kids wanted to live there, and to be honest, so did Mom and Dad! There really is something for everyone, and with the all inclusive price of 29.99 a night to start, you really will be hard pressed to find anything better in this area. When my kids went back to school, many of their friends had already heard of it and love it as well. We got back three days ago and they refuse to take off their wrist bands.
