Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit: a Review

Andrea Rowe
As someone who has a chronic condition that affects her skin, I have tried many different skin care products in an attempt to find something that helps. I am 32 years old and felt a bit strange purchasing a Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit but I bought one. This kit contains a cleanser, moisturizer, and a fast acting spot treatment. The cleanser contained 4 ounces, the moisturizer contained 2 ounces, and the spot treatment contained .5 ounces.

I do not have a problem with acne but the salicylic acid ingredient of these products is what drew me to buying the kit. My condition causes little whitish red bumps to form on my skin that are very similar to acne and sometimes salicylic acid can help in regard to these bumps.

Though my skin problem is not acne, when I use the products in the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit, I do find the bumps on my face decrease in how red they are. A problem with the kit is the cleanser tends to run out before the other two products. I am certain at least two of the products (I am unsure about the moisturizer) can be purchased separately when the products in the kits are completely used. The products in the Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit can be used 1-3 times daily. I generally use them before going to bed and after my morning shower.

My Clean & Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit was purchased at Wal-Mart but it is available at many stores and pharmacies over the counter. I paid about $20 for the kit. The Clean and Clear Advantage Acne Control Kit is available online at various websites. The Clean & Clear website has the cleanser and acne spot treatment for sale individually. The acne spot treatment is priced at $6.99. The cleanser is available for $8.49. I cannot find the Clean & Clear Acne Advantage moisturizer listed on the site as being sold separately though there are products that would serve a similar function in any skin care regime for sale on the site.

Please don't hate me, but I don't have a need for this product! ;-)

Ugh, I still have breakouts at age 32. I've used Proactiv in the past and other Clean & Clear skin products, but haven't tried this. In winter, especially, acne products dry out my skin so terribly, I hate to even use them.
