Clean and Clear's Morning Burst Line is designed to "freshen your skin and wake up your senses." All of their products have a citrus scent and are packaged in tangerine and white colored packaging. The line includes facial cleansers, facial scrubs, and moisturizers.
The Clean and Clear Morning Burst In-Shower Facial is designed to be used 1-3 times per week in place of the normal cleanser. The instructions say to apply a generous amount to your face and let sit for one minute. After a minute, you are supposed to massage the cleanser into your face to "activate the moisturizing beads" and clean away and dried skin, impurities, and dead cells.
When I applied the product to my face, and let it sit for the allotted minute, I did feel a tingle, in a good-not painful-way. And I did enjoy the citrus scent with its hints of cucumber and ginger. Overall, it was nice, but not worthy of a "wow." But when the minute ended and I got to scrub my face, then I was really impressed. Most scrubs available at the drugstore are weak. They generally consist of a few scrubbing beads in a decent cream or gel base and I feel like I'm pushing a couple of beads around, and not getting much done. I usually try them once and then go back to "borrowing" my husbands Clinique shave-prep exfoliating scrub to really exfoliate my face once or twice a week-because it is the best exfoliating scrub I've found. Clean and Clear Morning Burst In-Shower Facial's scrub was just as good as my husband's scrub. The scrubbing particles are dense within the cream base so I don't feel like I'm doing a lot of work and accomplishing little. Instead, I ended up with a smooth, clean face.
As an experiment, I tried using Clean and Clear Morning Burst In-Shower Facial without the one minute of non-scrubbing. While I didn't get the fresh, invigorating face tingle...I still got a good face scrub in. And the results when I looked in the mirror were the same-a smooth, clean face.
Since Clean and Clear Morning Burst In-Shower Facial does include alpha hydroxy acids, it is important to follow up usage with a sunscreen or moisturizer.
I will continue to purchase Clean and Clear Morning Burst In-Shower Facial, but not because I feel like I have just gotten a facial, but because it is one of the best, inexpensive scrubs on the market.
