Any day natural products score over the man made products or chemical based products. The natural products do not have side effects unlike chemical based products which may be available in pleasing colors and smells better. But, they cannot sideline natural products; because, natural products do not have side effects.
The two natural products which could be used as cleaning agents in the house are normally available in every home. They are Vinegar and Baking Soda.
Vinegar: This is obtained from the fermentation of alcohol. It is used in preparation of salads, pickles and canning. The main content of Vinegar is 'Acetic Acid'. Vinegar is also a very good cleaning agent. Mix Vinegar with equal quantity of water. The solution can be used to clean tiles, counter tops, bathroom floors, sinks and even toilet bowls. The solution removes the stink in no time. It can be used even on wooden boards, refrigerator. On cloths it removes stain, odors of perspiration etc. But Vinegars are not used on Marbles. It can also be used to clean utensils containing stale food. It has the quality of killing bacteria. So, it can be used to marinating meat which also makes the meat tender. By pouring vinegar in the garden, weeds can be eliminated.
Baking Soda: Another natural cleaning agent available in every home is the baking soda. This is used to remove oily substances. Baking Soda, if kept in an open box in the bathroom or refrigerator etc, will act as a deodorizer. After brushing the teeth, one can apply a pinch of baking soda on the teeth and clean the teeth again. It will remove yellow color from the teeth. Other uses of baking soda are; it can be used for washing cleaning stainless steel glasses, polishing of silver or chromium articles etc. It is applied in case of bug or bee bites.
Put a cup of baking soda with half a cup of vinegar on a clogged drain. After some time pour hot water into the drain; the drain is unclogged.
The nature would have given us many more things which can be used as a natural cleaning agent. If such natural cleaning agents are found, just try it on a small area and then extend its application to larger areas. After a trial with these natural cleaning agents one will be convinced that they are equal to any chemically based products.
