Cleanup Assistant: A Program to Manage Files Your Files and Clean Up Your PC

While other "clean-up" programs are only able to clean up your computer as its function, Cleanup Assistant can also help searching files, delete files permanently...The program is divided into three main categories with different functions: File Scanner (manage and search for files), Disk Cleaning (delete unnecessary files) and Privacy Protection (delete files without any trace). Here are some abilities of Cleanup Assistant you may want to know:

Find large folder: this function helps listing fast and adequately all the files and folder in your hard drive.

Find file duplicate: this function helps finding and deleting similar files and folder to save your system resource. At the "Duplicate file folder", locate the folder or hard drive you want the program to search for duplicated files. Then, click "Search folder(s)" to start the process. If you leave "File extension" empty, all of the files in the located folder will be checked. If you want to check only a certain file type (*.mp3 for example), simply type in the three letters of extension in the blank. "Compare file by" section allows you to search for duplicated file according to filename, file size and file content. After put in all the needed information, click "Find" to start searching process. The detail of similar files will appear in different list. You can select the copied files and click "Delete select file" to remove the unneeded files out of your computer.

Clean your disk(s): this option will clean up all the unnecessary files from your computer. It is divided into four different tabs: Internet browsing (clean history, temporary files from browsing web), Windows (clean trash files created by Windows while operating), Programs (clean trash files from applications in your computer) and Deep Scan (search for error files in each hard drive). You can opt which tab you want to use and click "Cleanup Now!" for the program to start working. After scanning your computer, Cleanup Assistant will display result at "Report" tab.

Shred file(s) or folder(s): destroy file or folders completely. After using this option, there is no way anyone can recover the removed information. You should notice that the higher you choose the level of "Number of Overwrites", the slower the deleting process become. However, when the level is set to the highest, it is impossible to recover the files.

Drive wiper: this option will wipe out a whole portion of your hard drive. Be very careful when you decide to use this !!!! The deleted information for selected portion cannot be recovered.
