Clearasil StayClear Daily Facial Scrub - Product Review

Here's the basics: Clearasil's StayClear Daily Facial Scrub comes in a blue and white tube of 5 fluid ounces. It's a clear gel with speckles of blue that the label tells me are multi-sized microbeads for the purpose of exfoliating. Clearasil's StayClear Daily Facial Scrub contains 2% salicylic acid and is intended for daily use. Phew! That's a great brief on the basics, right? But as every consumer knows, knowing a beauty product well means a lot more: it means having an idea of the price, the functionality, and the effectiveness of the beauty product. If you want to know about Clearasil's facial scrub... read on!

Price of Clearasil's StayClear Daily Facial Scrub

Inside your usual drugstore, the price range for this beauty product is about five to seven dollars. That is a pretty average price, about as much as you're going to play for products of a similar kind. You can save extra money by waiting for deals, as with all things, but here's another method you can try: shop your discount stores. I found my tube of Clearasil's daily facial scrub for about a dollar this way. Not bad, right?

How Does Clearasil's StayClear Daily Facial Scrub Work?

As part of a daily beauty regime, you put some water on your face and then rub in the scrub. Hopefully, it pulls away all those gross things that build up on your face: dirt, dead skin cells which can make your pores look big(ger) if they're allowed to accumulate, and then you rise it off with some more water (I sometimes like to rinse and repeat, though being no skin expert, can't say if that's a good idea or bad).

How Well Does Clearasil StayClear Daily Facial Scrub Perform?

So I turned on the water and lathered up. My results? In general, the wash was nice. It lathered up really quickly (it wasn't as foamy as I like, but considering that this wasn't a foaming soap, I think that's okay). One thing I enjoyed was the microbeads; they gave the scrub it's 'scrub' quality and pulled double duty, exfoliating my hands a bit, too, as I washed my face. The beads seemed to go on exfoliating the entire time, which was nice because in the past I've noticed that in similar beauty products, they dissolve really fast and lose their functionality. All in all, it was a nice, solid cleanse. Nothing over the top fantastic, but definitely usable.

This is a solid beauty product for anyone looking for a daily facial exfoliating staple. It works, its priced okay, and you can always substitute it as a body scrub in the shower.
