Clemens Named in Mitchell Report

Wordsleuth
Did you ever wonder how Roger Clemens could pitch so well while he was getting deeper into his forties? Well now it seems we may have an answer. According to rumors on the internet Roger Clemens will be named in the Mitchell Report, which is set to come out today.

According to these rumors Roger Clemens was given up to former Senator George Mitchell by an ex-Yankee trainer who had knowledge of what Roger Clemens had put and was putting into his body. According to the trainer, Roger Clemens was using illegal performance enhancing steroids, at least during his time with the Yankees.

This trainer, McNamee, not only says that Clemens took steroids during his time in New York, but also when he was in Toronto. While Clemens was in Toronto he won back-to-back AL Cy Young awards. The trainer said that he injected Clemens personally with Testosterone and HGH.

If this is indeed true, and the Mitchell report will verify the naming of Clemens today, than Clemens would most assuredly be the biggest name linked to steroids in the 5-or-so year quest fo answers on steroids.

The will be many questions raised in the next few days, namely what did Roger Clemens use and when, but there will also be questions now about his hall of fame eligibility and he may even be given the same stigma as the now infamous Barry Bonds.

It's so sad that our children have looked up to all of these men and will have to realize that maybe what they were looking up to was only drugs.
