Cleric Guide Maple Story

Maple Story is a MMORPG (Massive Multiplayer Online Role Playing Game) that is filled to the rand with excitement and fun. One of the most amazing characters in Maple Story is the Cleric. Clerics, which in the third job advances to priests, have the ability to heal both themselves and party members. They also provide spells and skills that every party craves.

As a cleric you have unique skills to the envy of every other character. You'll be able to save up nice amounts of Mesos, and if you play the game right you can become very rich. Clerics in Maple Story also level very fast. Being a Cleric has its downsides too however. The most prominent is the lack of powerful spells.

Holy Arrow is the Cleric's strongest spell, but the damage does not even come close to those of Fire and Ice/Lightning mages. You'll have to get in the habit of not focusing on high damages, but rather think of leveling and getting lots of Mesos.

There are two basic roads you can choose when becoming a cleric. The first one is the Party Cleric where you max out your party skills early in the game, and are welcomed by parties that provide you with experience. The second road is the Solo Cleric. You will still have some party skills, but your Holy Arrow is maxed thus giving you opportunities to train somewhat effective on your own.

Clerics were made as a party character, one that likes getting to know people and who wants to cooperate with others in their leveling. This is why your solo spells are weak and hardly worth sacrificing points to. Maple Story did provide you with Holy Arrow, and if you choose to go that way you will still be able to level fast.

It's my strong opinion that if you choose to become a Cleric you should go all the way and become a Party Cleric. If you are looking for high damage choose a different job, because being a Cleric does not equal a strong character in terms of damage.

One thing that's worth thinking about is your buddy list. You should fill this one as soon as you can, and try your hardest to always make new friends. This way you will always have someone online when you log into the game, and you won't have to spend hours trying to find a party.

As with any MMORPG Maple Story requires time and effort, and clerics are no exception. Fast leveling, Mesos, and parties should be your major priorities when you become a cleric.
