Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver Golf Club Review

First there was the Cleveland HIBORE XL, now comes the Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver. An apparent improvement over the very popular XL, the Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver is quite bigger (17% as advertised) than its predecessor. The extremely oversized clubhead, which still lands within the maximum USGA clubhead dimension limit, has given the Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver a 5300 Moment of Inertia (MOI) allowing for more controlled and straight drives. The Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver's club head is huge and is considered among the biggest in the market.

When I first used my recently purchased Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver on the links, I was very impressed with how long and straight my tee shots would go. I had trouble initially acquainting myself with the Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver at address probably owing to the revolutionary "scooped back" design of HiBore drivers I was not familiar with, but it was nothing anyone couldn't quickly adjust to after a couple of practice swings in the driving range. Weight seems to be evenly distributed in the Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver which makes it very stable and the expanded sweet spot of the massive club face gave my drives incredible distance when hit right and decent enough results on slight mishits.

Impact with the golf ball initially felt hard for me but I eventually got used to it and is now a non-issue. The Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver's high MOI also kept my tee shots straight even when my swing went a bit off and I struck the ball on the toe of the club head. The Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver was very forgiving and long, straight drives despite less than perfect swings will truly instill a lot of confidence in your game, but one must be mindful of being overconfident as to be tempted to overswing the club with the intent of really hammering the golf ball. Sticking to a stiff gold shaft proved to be very prudent for me when it came to the overswing issue.

The Cleveland HIBORE XLS Driver will definitely make you launch straight and longer drives with low spin and will help keep those tee shots on the fairway. It's very forgiving and you'll enjoy hitting with it. Golfers seeking to replace their drivers for another that will improve their tee shots would do well to consider the HIBORE XLS for its performance at a price that is considerably less than most drivers with the same impact on your game.
