Blackbird Baking Company is a small scratch bakery based out of the west side Cleveland suburb of Lakewood. Owners Tom and Adria Clark have extensive bakery experience going back to their time working together at Grand Central Baking Co. in Portland, OR.

Breads and pastries are baked fresh daily and the full espresso bar make it a great place to stop for that morning cup of coffee or even to relax, read the newspaper, or engage in conversation about urban farming in Cleveland. The peanut butter cookies are "to die for" according to a good friend.

Popular Cleveland restaurants that serve Blackbird Baking Company bread include Deagan's Kitchen in Lakewood, Vento la Trattoria in Bay Village, and Flying Fig in Cleveland. Celebrity Chef Michael Symon used Blackbird Baking Company bread for his Bar Symon concept, unfortunately that restaurant closed in October of 2010.

Hours of operation are Tuesday through Friday from 7am to 6pm, Saturday from 8am to 5pm, and Sunday from 8am to 2pm. Blackbird Baking Company is closed on Monday.
