Clever Halloween Costume Ideas for Groups

Sandra Knasiak
If the whole gang is going out this Halloween and you haven't decided on a costume yet, why not dress up together as a group. Choosing a group costume is a fun way to enjoy the festivities together. It is a wonderful way to make long lasting memories with your close friends or family memories. Here are some clever ideas for Halloween costumes for groups of two people or more.

The Golden Girls - Find some old lady clothes at the thrift store. Make the shortest person in the group Sophia and don't forget the big glasses on a string. Put Blanche in something fancy with lots of costume jewelry. The tallest person in your group naturally should be Dorothy. Find yourself some matching wigs and you're good to go. I think this would be extremely funny if four guys attempted it!

Blues Brothers - This is a fun costume for brothers, buddies or co-workers. Throw on a black suit with a black tie, black hat, black dress shoes, and black sunglasses. Just don't forget those sideburns!

Jersey Shore crew - This popular MTV reality show filmed about Guidos and Guidettes living at the Jersey Shore then in Miami has been a huge hit. This is the perfect costume for a group of friends or couples. For the girls, wear tight, revealing dresses, animal print being a nice option. Use bronzer or self tanner or if you want, do as the Jersey Shore girls would and go tanning, just make sure you look tan. Wear lots of makeup and style your hair with the "Snooki" hair bump. For the guys, wear Ed Hardy tees, jeans with holes, nice, white sneakers, and use lots of gel in your hair.

Sons of Anarchy Motorcycle Club - This prime time drama about a motorcycle club in California airs on FX and has turned out to be a huge hit. I have a feeling many people will be dressing up as a one of the Sons of Anarchy this year. What you'll need to pull this off are: jeans, black or gray tee shirts or hoodies, black leather jackets. Make your own iron-ons to match. Carry plastic guns and wear do-rags.

Wild Hogs - For a slightly funnier version of a motorcycle club, consider going as the Wild Hogs. Your costume will be as hilarious as the movie. Use the same pieces listed above except for the guns, of course and alter the patch on the jacket.

The Village People - This crowd-pleasing musical group known for hits such as Macho Man and YMCA, is comprised of six guys and is a Halloween favorite. To pull this off, you will need the same. You will need one person dressed like each of these: Native American, solider, construction worker, cop, cowboy, biker.

Charlie's Angels - You will need one blonde with short hair, one brunette with long hair, and one redhead with medium-length hair. Wear black pants and black top with a plunging neckline, black heels and tote plastic guns. If you want, you could even add halos.

The Kardashian sisters - These Armenian reality show beauties make for a very fun and glamorous costume. You will need long, dark hair and giant sunglasses. Get all dolled up with lots of makeup. Use the same smoky eye look that the Kardashian sisters love so much. Sport giant handbags, high heels, and hold your cell phone up to finish off your look. Oh, and If you need to, add some padding in the necessary places.

The View cast - Dressing like the hosts of this popular daytime show is sure to generate some laughs. There are five cast members on The View: Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sherri Shepard, Elisabeth Hasselback, and Barbara Walters. Mimicking their looks won't be hard. As long as you manage to get the hair right, find some fitting clothes and a few key accessories like and American flag for Elizabeth Hassleback. Carry a coffee mug and you'll have the look. For a finishing touch, consider adding the words "The View" to the coffee mugs.

South Park crew - You can do the main four characters: Cartman, Kenny, Kyle, and Stan. Or, you could expand it to include characters such as Chef,Ike, Butters, Wendy, and Chef.

The Flintstones - There are definitely Flintstones costumes available to buy but it you are a little crafty you could probably create them by yourself pretty easily.

I hope you enjoyed this list and maybe found a costume that would work for your group. If none of my ideas work for you, just use your imagination and try to come up with your own ideas. Inspiration for costumes is all around us. Happy Halloween!
