Climategate; Al Gore is a Hypocrite

Al Gore's Green, Global Warming Propaganda Fuels Fears and Makes Money -- for Him

Wendy Dawn
Green is sexy, in more ways than one.

Green is sexy. It is good to be good stewards of our planet and its resources. However, green is sexy in other ways. Green living puts lots of money into the pockets of executives whose homes, cars, and jets are sucking more energy per month than most Americans use in a year.

Retailers promote "green is sexy" as a way to entice consumers to buy high priced eco-friendly products. Celebrities promote their own image and agenda buying into the green is sexy campaign.

Is green really sexy or is this new turn of phrase more advertising hype?

Going green is a good thing, but making the changes necessary to go green are expensive. Americans are pressured by the likes of Leonardo Decaprio and Al Gore to go green or continue to suffer the supposed consequences of increasing global warming.

What's the average American to do?

Al Gore cashes in on the "green is sexy" money cow

Americans are making baby steps toward going green. The problem is that people with the most cash in the "green is sexy" money pot, like Al Gore, want bigger moves toward green living, more quickly. I wonder if most Americans realize in how many green projects Al Gore has his hands and investments. Meet Al Gore, one of the owners of cable channel Planet Green.

Al Gore is a hypocrite trying to get rich on the back of well intentioned Americans. We all want to be good stewards of the earth and its resources, but Al Gore uses scare tactics, like global warming and "An Inconvenient Truth," to try to generate a fanatical following and movement toward green living.

Leonardo DeCaprio has bought into Al Gore's propaganda and global warming agenda based on "if-y" science. Emma Grady posted a blog at Treehugger.com, entitled "7 Ways Brad Pitt Proves Green is Sexy." Emma Grady extols Brad Pitt's attempts at going green, but how much easier is it to make the switch to sexy green living when you have the money to do so?

Al Gore's hypocritical lifestyle

Brad Pitt and Leonardo DeCaprio lend their celebrity and good looks to a "green is sexy" campaign, the big man behind the movement continues to live the life of an energy sucking leech.

Al Gore's suburban Nashville home consumes 20% to 30% more energy in a month than the average household consumes in a year. His jets and SUVs produce carbon emissions, but we, the fool hardy public, are supposed to be consoled because he has installed solar panels and buys carbon offsets. That is a bunch of hypocritical crock from one of the men who stands to make the most money off of green jobs.

For pushing a "green is sexy" propaganda Al Gore makes approximately $100,000 for a 90 minute appearance. His speaking engagement fee increased following his Academy Award for the film "An Inconvenient Truth," which was no more than a propagandamentary for Gore's alleged passion about global warming.

Meanwhile, here's the rub.

An Inconvenient Truth brings "An Inconvenient Truth" into Question

The University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit released information proving falsified data has been used to document global warming in the past few years, including data used by Al Gore in "An Inconvenient Truth."

Will this revelation have any impact on next week's International conference on climate change? Not if the liberal media has anything to do with it. Chances are you haven't heard much about climategate unless you watch FOX News.

Can the White House hear the global warming debate?

The University has uncovered an inconvenient truth, one which many have anticipated for a long time, but to date had no hard evidence to refute green machine pseudo-science. Rasmussen reports that only 1 in 4 people believe the bogus science behind global warming.

Despite the evidence, White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs claims global warming is no longer disputed by most people. With whom are Gibbs and the White House talking? Yet again, White House's perspective, opinions, and inclinations are juxtaposed to American opinions.

The Birth of "Green is Sexy" and Climategate in tandem

Climategate versus "green is sexy" is a battle that makes a difference to the United States economy and job market. It affects our future and the growth and development of jobs. Obama is ready to pour funds into "green jobs" on the basis of fraudulent scientific claims. What about traditional jobs that have already been proven viable in a free market economy? We don't need them anymore?

If you think "Green is Sexy" pay attention to the International conference on climate change

My bet is that the University of East Anglia Climatic Research Unit will not affect Obama or the international conference on climate change. Pay attention to news coming from the international conference on climate change in coming weeks. Instead of facing the truth and examining new scientific evidence, the United States is likely to become further tied to other nations at her own expense during this futile meeting.

Climate change is not such a global alarm as Al Gore and others have portrayed it. Finally, science is catching up to these grandiose, pseudo-scientific notions and fear mongering. The international conference on climate change will form one more chain in the link that ties the hands of the United States to those of other nations, inhibiting our freedoms and the right to pursue free enterprise.

Green is sexy? Eco-friendly habits and behaviors are good, but green ceases to be sexy when it is shoved down your throats, as it has been and will continue to be if the tree huggers have their way. Make wise decisions about the stewardship of our earth's resources, but don't cripple yourself, your family, economy, and free enterprise in the process.

There are many sentiments I agree with, mainly that green is good and that those preaching it should practice it... also that one shouldn't go broke going green. But... what makes "tree hugger" such a dirty term? :)

I disagree, Im not sure why people think that if your "green" than you should be poor, and I think it offends our intellegence to think that someone because their famous would influence our decision. What it does to me and I think thats the point is make you aware of a situation and than you try to find out more. Listen if I need a product and I can have a choice between a "green" company and not,I will go with the green. If Al Gore owns part of the company it doesnt bother me, the profit of the product has to go to someone.

I agree that leaders should walk the walk. Why does Al Gore live in a mansion just because he has the money to do so? Wouldn't he be a better example if he and Tipper lived in a 1200 sqare foot cottage? Driving a hybrid or electric car is easy if you have the money.

Well done! I think many of us are hypocrites. Practice what you preach as they say. I really try to eat healthy and do the right green thing but I've been known to chomp down a cookie now and then or forget to compost my eggshells and coffee grounds. I think the important thing is to get the message out there. Even if we all did half of what we should, the change would be tremendous. I do agree that someone in Al Gore's political shoes would do well to listen to his own advice.

Wow, this is good reporting. I'll try and keep up on it. It's a lettle heavy for me, but I agree there's too much waste from the higher-ups. Thanks for this Lenora.

It is about time that people learned the truth. I DO believe in conservation and recycling but the whole global warming thing is about more control over the public and nothing else.
