Climategate, Scientists, Republicans, and "V"s

Jeff Musall
If you aren't familiar with the 80s miniseries "V" you may not have snickered at the title. If you are a "V" fan, you just might have. You see, in the original miniseries, invaders from another planet hated scientists.

They came from a world....far, far, away. They looked like us, only hotter. Well except for the mouse-sneaking little guy played by Robert Englund. Sure they looked like us - but they were lizards! And they ate people too. Straight up bad guys.

The new miniseries on ABC has been for the most part fantastic, but they are only four episodes in and have yet to reveal lizard animosity to scientists. In the original, Scientists were the Jews of the lizards fascist movement, deemed evil and out to destroy everything. Yes, the lizards were outer space fascists, bent on controlling and/or eating every human.

The "V" aliens in the original began their war on scientists for two reasons. To establish an enemy that could be used to justify military crack downs. Scientists were blamed for terror attacks and subsequently rounded up.

And just as important, the "V"s didn't want to be exposed, and they knew those most likely to bring their lizard goings-on to light were scientists.

Sound like Republicans? Can't bring them "scientists" from Gitmo to the United States! Can't believe a scientist who tells you about global warming! Or evolution! Or food safety! Or water quality! Or health care statistics!

And "Climategate" shows their idiocy. What were there, a few emalis among thousands that were poorly worded? Every single charge made due to the emails has been countered. There is no longer any debate among non-corporate science. Climate change is real, and we are doing it.

Like any fascist movement, today's corporate conservatives need enemies. Climategate provides them with one, when their real motive is massive transference of wealth to the top. What is their end, when they attack the worker, to the benefit of corporatism? Power, money, influence....and maybe a menu?

Actually, when you think about it, there is a major difference between the "V's and today's conservatives. Unlike Palin, Limbaugh, Malkin, Beck, Coulter, O'Reilly, Bachmann, Hannity, etc - the "V's were smart.

Re:In its quest to create a New World Order that restricts individual freedoms and places ultimate power solely in the hands of a small cult of wealthy, prominent families Skull and Bones has already succeeded in infiltrating nearly every major research, policy, financial, media and government institution in the country. Skull and Bones, in fact, has been running the United States for years.Chaos, confusion and ultimately a battle between the individual and the State. The individual is the stronger and will win. The state is a fiction sanctified by Hegel and his followers to CONTROL the individual.
Sooner or later people will wake up. First we have to dump the trap of right and left, this is a Hegelian trap to divide and control. Th

Since you are always railing about corporatism and Conservatives being joined at the hip, will you scream as loud and long about Obama's love affair wit GE, Wall Street and the banking industry? Forthright presentation and fairness in manner would scream for it Jeff. Let's hear it - you hate all corporatism, right? I will really be in your corner if you take down Obama for his corporate associations like yo do with Conservatives.

I think I'm going to coin a word - reptpublicans. (Apologies to our literally cold-blooded friends in advance.)
