A sales associate guided me in the right direction from the start. There are 4 levels of their Clarifying Lotion, ranging from dry/sensitive to normal to combination to very oily skin types. I have combination skin, so the associate recommended that I get the Clarifying Lotion 3 so it would be effective, but not dry out my skin.
Ever since the first day I took this home and started using it in my daily regimen, it has never ceased to amaze me. It has kept my face clear, and if ever (very rarely) a zit manages to appear, this makes sure that the zit disappears in a day or two. I have been using this Clarifying Lotion for about half a year now and during that time period I have only had two obvious zits pop up which were quickly exterminated by this product. This also continues to be effective in keeping my skin clearer which is a huge plus. All other acne treatment products I have used in the past have later proved to be ineffective because my skin gets accustomed to it and the product no longer has a benefiting effect.
This comes in two sizes: a 6.7 fl oz bottle retails for $11.50 and a 13.5 fl oz bottle retails for $20.00. I have been purchasing the 13.5 fl oz bottle and it goes a long way. One of these lasts at least 3 months. For a product to last that long and be super effective is very well worth the $20, which is rare for me to say since I generally stick with bargains and avoid overly-priced products. I would recommend picking up one of these when department stores such as Macy's, Nordstrom, Bloomingdales and such are having "Clinique Bonus Time" where with a minimum purchase you get a limited edition bag filled with popular Clinique deluxe samples.
