Clinique Long Last Glosswear SPF 15: Shimmering Protection for Your Lips

Gwendolyn Taylor
I have been a long time fan of Clinique facial care products, and since they worked so well for me I decided to try out some of their makeup. Now, I am a huge lip gloss addict, and so seeing they had several different kinds of lip glosses, I decided to try at least one of them out. The "Long Last Glosswear SPF 15" is what caught my eye first.

This lip gloss comes in eighteen flirty and attention-grabbing shades: Cleary Pink (a sheer bubblegum pink color), Knockout Nude (a natural sheer color), Tenderheart (a peachy nude color), Bamboo Pink ( a light pink color), Sunset (a deep peach color), Stellar Plum (a sheer purple-red color) , Air Kiss (a translucent pink color), Juicy Apple ( a sheer bright red color), Bonfire ( a pinkish nude color), Cabana Crush (a deep mauve color), Whisper (a sheer pink color) , Guavagold ( a shimmering pink nude color), Fireberry (a nude red with a hint of gold shimmer), Brandy Twist (a shimmering b light bronze tan color), Mystic (a sheer mauve color), Kissyfit (a pinkish mauve color), Rock Violet (a dark pinkish nude color), and Goldspun (a translucent color with a hint of gold shimmer).

My favorite of the bunch is Guavagold and Fireberry. Guavagold is the perfect everyday shade to wear. It is light enough without looking garish or overbearing, but has enough subtle color to make your lips look alluring. Fireberry is just a beautiful and glamorous color to wear that will spice up any fashion ensemble. I am a little wary of deep or bolder shades, but this shade is just right. The color is tinted with subtle shimmer which makes the shade look less intense, but it definitely adds a spark of color that will make your face light up.

These are long lasting just like its name claims. One application lasts for hours, and even if it feels that it might have worn out, if you check on it in the mirror you will still see the same trace of color on your lips without any goopy mess or clumping. It also has added SPF protection to keep your lips healthy from sun damage - an additional bonus.

These retail for $14.00 a tube. This may seem a bit pricey for lip gloss, but if you compare to other well-know name brands, this is actually a decent price. If you factor in that a little bit of it goes a long way and its protection benefits, then for the price this lip gloss has a lot more to offer. I highly recommend it.
