A few months back I was fortunate enough to win a magazine giveaway of Clinique's eye cream: Clinique Repair wear Intensive Eye Cream. I was excited to try this product as I am a beauty junkie and I'm also starting notice those fine lines around my eyes. The product promises the consumer the following:
Potent moisturizing cream focuses skin's energies on repair. Targets the appearance of eye-area lines and wrinkles. Sustains antioxidants. Strengthens vulnerable skin. For a brighter, vibrant, refreshed look. Patent pending. For all skin types
The product comes in a 0.5 ounce jar and retails for around $38. It sounds a little steep, but this product does seem to last a long time, 5 months and counting for me. You only need to use a small amount each day. The cream itself is unscented, uncolored and has a creamy texture. You apply the eye cream by putting a small amount on your finger and smoothing it on the eye area. The cream does go on smoothly and I have not noticed any greasiness after application.
Since I began using this product I have noticed that my dark circles have lightened, the area around my eyes appears brighter and some of the fine lines I had have been diminished. The other thing that has impressed me about this product is that it does not effect the make-up I put on afterwords. Often times, I'd use an eye cream only to have my eyeshadow begin to slide off because the cream was too greasy. This eye cream, however, has not caused my any problems with my make-up. In fact, I believe it to be a great base for my eye make-up as my eyes are brighter and the make-up seems to last a bit longer.
I have had no allergic reactions to this product. But one glaring problem I noticed is that the ingredients are not listed on the packaging. So if you do have allergic reactions to certain ingredients be sure to discuss this with the staff at the Clinique counter before buying.
Overall, I really enjoy this product but it is a little on the spend side. This is not a miracle product. It does do a great job brightening up the eye area and even as a make-up base but I do still have some fine lines around my eyes. I do recommend this product if you're looking for a solid anti-aging eye cream.
