One of the hottest new makeup trends out there today is mineral powder makeup. People's opinion of this product varies. Some people love it, some don't. Personally, I do not like using it because of the mess and I don't feel like it gives me very much coverage. I am a liquid foundation fan all the way, but lately my schedule has been so busy that I have not had the time to put my "full face" on in the mornings. That is, until Clinique launched their new "Almost Powder Makeup." It comes in their signature green square compact and is a pressed powder. You can apply it with the provided sponge or with a foundation brush. The brush gives a smoother finish, but the sponge definitely does the job if you don't have time for that. The powder itself is a lightweight powder that feels like you are not wearing any makeup when you apply it. That in itself is wonderful. Add to that the benefits of antioxidants and an SPF 15, and it becomes even better. The coverage is excellent (which is saying a lot, since I love my liquid foundation so much). This powder is also great for ALL skin types. I have heard people complain about their powder looking cakey or flaky, but if you use this, it should not be the case. Of course, using a good skincare system will help the makeup to look radiant on your skin. This powder even minimizes the appearance of pores. That's pretty amazing, huh?
The Almost Powder makeup comes in a good selection of ten different shades. I would recommend having a Clinique consultant skin type you and match your color if possible. Powder is a tricky thing to match on your own, especially just looking at it online.
One of the other things that add to the appeal of this product is the price. At only $22.50, it is a steal. I have time to look put together in the morning, my wallet is happy and I feel like I have a natural makeup look going on. Clinique, you have created a true winner in this product.
