Clorox Disinfecting Wipes: Product Review

Among all the new disinfection, germ killing, surface sanitizing items out there, stands Clorox Disinfecting Wipes. We are all familiar with Clorox as being number one for bleach. The Clorox brand usually owns up to it's high quality standards, so these new Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are no different from what you would expect from the Clorox brand name.

The new Clorox Disinfecting Wipes are bleach free, yet pack a powerful punch for germs. Clorox Disinfecting Wipes promise an easy one-step cleaning and disinfecting usage. You can use Clorox Disinfecting Wipes on bathroom surfaces, such as toilets, sinks, tubs and even behind the toilet - eww! Clorox Disinfecting Wipes can also be used in the kitchen - from everything to stove tops to counters. I have found these disinfecting wipes work great as a quick clean up on the kitchen table as well!

Clorox disinfecting wipes are also recommended for use in a child's room. You can wipe down a nonporous item to clean, disinfect and sanitize everything from door knobs to toys with a Clorox Disinfecting Wipe. As a matter of fact, you can Clorox Disinfecting Wipes on telephones, computers, keyboards, remote controls and more to stop the spread of germs.

Clorox Disinfecting Wipes also claim to kill the Flu Virus, although in small print it states that it kills "Influenza A2" which is only one possible strand of the flu! It also needs to be mentioned that I personally don't go on a disinfecting binge as some do. I believe that the more we "kill" these germs and viruses with man made poisons, the stronger the strains get and potentially cause us to get sick more often. Now, with that being said, I still love these disinfecting wipes from Clorox. They clean very well. When I clean my kitchen counter with a spray cleaner, I usually have to let it sit to properly wipe everything off. However, with the Clorox disinfecting Wipes, I find the cleaning power is at least double what's in my all purpose spray!

I love using these after I deal with raw meats in the kitchen too. I just feel like my kitchen is bathing is food born viruses, bacteria and germs after handling meats. Giving my counters a quick sweep with a disinfecting wipe from Clorox really puts my mind at ease.

I do tend to use the Clorox disinfecting wipes when we are all sick too. I know it seems contrary that I use them so often given my ideas about disinfecting products on the market, but there really is something to be said about these Clorox Wipes! I can't tell you how much easier it is to just go upstairs with a wipe in hand and wipe down the toilet, or kitchen sink (obviously not with the same wipe - I don't trust it that well, LOL). It leaves the bathroom with a clean fresh scent and just over all makes me feel like I really "cleaned" all for about a 20 second block out of my day!

I personally give Clorox Disinfecting Wipes a 10! Considering they are one of the only products in my home that I use regularly that are not eco-friendly. I know that Clorox has harsh chemicals, but i figure with all the other products I don't use, my guilt goes away. I use them to clean my sons high chair - but then I wipe it down with a napkin soaked in water to remove anything left behind. Considering my son eats bananas right from the try - I would hate to expose him to chemical "dressing"

These Clorox Disinfecting Wipes clean great, smell nice, and disinfect, sanitize and clean many surfaces with just one wipe. They certainly come in handy and I love them! Although I can't say I took a microscope to a surface after using a Clorox Disinfecting Wipe - so I can't brag about knowing for sure that Clorox Disinfecting Wipes really do what they say - It still should be noted that Clorox Disinfecting Wipes do claim to kill 99.9% of germs in 30 seconds! Not bad!
