Clorox Green Works - Do They Really Work as Well as Traditional Cleaners?

Katie
The Clorox Company now manufactures a line of 'green' cleaning products that claim to work as well as their traditional counterparts. Clorox Green Works are a pure, more environmentally friendly choice as they contain 99% natural ingredients. They also do not test on animals, and the packaging is made from recycled materials. Upon trying the products, I found them to be extremely pleasant and effective.

The Green Works All-Purpose Cleaner (99.93% natural) is bursting with the fabulous scent of coconut & citrus and I love that no harsh odors are left behind. I find that it wipes off easily without leaving a film on surfaces such as stainless steel appliances, stovetop surfaces, counter-tops, sinks and vanities, toilets, tubs and shower walls. I found this to be a great alternative to the more abrasive smelling traditional commercial all-purpose cleaners.

The Green Works Bathroom Cleaner (99.05% natural) offers the same sweet smelling aroma, and works just as effectively as traditional cleaning products on a variety of bathroom surfaces including tubs, shower walls, toilets and sinks. It cuts through soap scum nicely and works well on rust rings, too! The Toilet Bowl Cleaner (99.99% natural) is definitely THE alternative to commercial toilet bowl cleaners, the odors are so much milder and it really does work just as good.

I use newspaper on all windows and mirrors for a guaranteed streak-free shine. The Glass & Surface Cleaner (99.84% natural) worked very nicely on all windows and mirrors in combination with newspaper, but I found paper-towels to leave a bit more lint than with other commercial window cleaners. The scent is pleasant, and the recyclable packaging and

The Dilutable Cleaner (99.20% natural) is the only one I had any trouble with. It's very concentrated, if you use too much, it becomes very sudsy. If you use just a capful and rinse with clear, clean water, it will work very well on surfaces such as appliances, non-wood floors and trash cans. I found that by filling the bathtub with hot water, a few capfuls of the cleaner and allowing it to sit for an hour or so, it becomes very easy to wipe & rinse clean after draining.

Overall, I am very happy with the products in Clorox Green Works line. I continue to buy them and use them in my home. Recycling bottles made from recycled materials makes me feel like I'm getting a double bonus. I feel comfortable choosing plant & mineral based products for use in my home from a company like Clorox and I commend them for taking part in the green initiative.
