Clothing Consignment 'What's N Your Closet?' Benefits Women

A New Concept in Clothes Consignment

Wendy King
We all know that consignment sales can save money on clothing. Most consignment sales are to consign children's clothes. What's N Your Closet is different. This consignment sale for women's clothing.

I belong to a local mommy board here in Memphis, TN. One of our members posted a few months back to tell us about a new concept in consignment sales that she and a friend were undertaking. While most of us had shopped at and participated in consignment sales for our children, the idea of consigning our own clothes was new.

This is the first year for What's N Your Closet. Therefore, they are having an all seasons sale this time around. There will be clothing of all sizes and seasons featured at this sale. According to their website, What's N Your Closet, will have quality clothes, handbags, shoes and belts that are in excellent used condition.

According to Kelli, one of the coordinators of What's N Your Closet, there will be over two hundred consignors and over 10,000 items for sale. There are also clothes being donated to benefit local organizations. Eighty percent of sales of donated clothes will go to Les Passes. Clothes that are not sold will be donated to Dress for Success, Comec and the Junior League repeat boutique.

There are many benefits for those who would like to consign clothing in the What's N Your Closet sale. They will receive 70% of the price that items sell for. Consignors for What's N Your Closet will also have the opportunity to offer their items for the half price sale on Sunday and donate unsold items to charity.

If you would like to consign with this sale, you can register on What's N Your Closet's website. Consigners are required to have a minimum of ten items. The registration fee for this sale is $8.00. This fee will be taken out of the final sales. All clothes must be on hangers and should be in excellent condition. They should be clean, ironed, starched if needed and must not smell of smoke or be covered in pet hair. Shoes must be in excellent condition, with no scuffs or visible signs of wear. No undergarments or swimsuits will be accepted.

Drop off times for items donated or being consigned with What's N Your Closet will be Tuesday July 10th between 2:00pm-4:00pm and Wednesday July 11th between 8:00am-9:00am or 6:00pm-7:00pm at the Agricenter International. There will be a special pre-sale for consignors and volunteers on Friday.

What's N Your Closet women's clothing consignment sale will be held at Agricenter International in Memphis, TN on July 14th and 15th. The hours for the Saturday sale will be 9:00am-6:00pm. The half price sale will be held on Sunday from 11:00am-3:00pm. Visa and Mastercard will be accepted at What's N Your Closet as well as cash and check. Checks will require an ID and there will be a $35.00 fee for all returned checks. The Agricenter International does have an ATM machine on site. All sales are final.
