Clown Halloween Masks

Derek Odom

When you are considering a Halloween costume, don't overlook the venerable clown as an idea. Lots of folks are already scared of them, and Stephen King did them no favors when he wrote "It". I recently bought a creepy clown mask for less than six-dollars at a Walgreen's (see attached photo).

Also, a good clown mask can be used on certain occasions, year round. Parties are a perfect place to don yours. Everyone wants to play beer-pong with a guy in a clown mask. They do! Drive-through windows would be a fun place to trick people, and so would a theme park. Probably not the bank, though; yea, don't do the bank.

The picture accompanying this article is my Facebook profile picture as well, and you wouldn't believe the amount of messages I get from folks asking me to change it. Change it? Not a chance! It's doing its job just fine, thanks.

A Halloween clown mask will pay for itself the first time you put it on. You could probably turn into a tarantula while someone watched and they wouldn't be as terrified as when the clown mask goes on. Clowns get it done. Clowns are also a better choice than mime costumes, because you can still say cool things like, "Hey kids!" or, "Wanna see a trick?" with the clown mask on.

In fact, with the level of attention my clown mask has already gotten, I may consider being a clown every Halloween. So far, it has been the gift that has simply kept on giving, and it isn't even Halloween yet. I'm calling that a win.
