Club Car Vehicles Recalled Due to Possible Crash Hazard
Some Models Manufactured by Club Car Are Part of a Recent Call
The vehicles that are part of the recall are Club Car, LLC model number 2010 DS. All of the vehicles recalled by Club Car are for short-distance use only.
The reason for the recall is that the brake pedal may crack and separate. If this happens the driver would have no way to brake or stop the vehicle. To date there are two reports of the brake pedal cracking. However, there were no reports of injuries when the CPSC issued the report.
The recalled vehicles were manufactured in the United States by manufacturer Club Car, LLC of Augusta, Georgia. The vehicles were sold throughout the country between April 2010 and July 2010. Prices ranged from $6,000 to $17,000. The vehicles were available through Club Car, LLC authorized dealers only.
Owners of any Club Car vehicle that is part of the recall should not use the vehicle. Owners may contact authorized dealers for more information, or wait to be contacted by the dealer. Club Car is offering an inspection of vehicles at no cost to the owners. If a brake pedal needs to be replaced, this will also be provided at no cost to the owner.
