Vince McMahon appeared on last nights episode of Monday Night Raw to address CM Punk's suspension. McMahon made it clear that Punk was suspended because of the WWE Championship. McMahon did not want Punk to leave the company with the WWE Championship. McMahon admitted that he did not want to take a chance on John Cena defeating Punk. Cena has beaten Punk and Punk has beaten Cena. For that reason McMahon did not want to take a chance on Cena. McMahon did not believe Cena could prevent Punk from leaving the company with the WWE Championship. Cena wanted to face Punk. He claimed that the WWE Universe wanted him to face Punk at Money In The Bank. McMahon did not care what Cena wanted or what the WWE Universe wanted. He let everyone know that the WWE was his company. Cena was disappointed with McMahon for not making the match. He handed his WWE Championship to McMahon and let him know if that is how he plans on running his company, he wants nothing to do with it.
After handing over the WWE Championship Cena made his way up the entrance ramp. As Cena reached the top of the entrance ramp he was stopped by McMahon. McMahon walked to the top of the entrance ramp and told Cena that "CM Punk is reinstated, you've got your match". This made Cena very happy but McMahon told him to "get that smile off your face". McMahon told Cena he should not be smiling. Stating "if CM Punk walks out of Chicago with this Championship. I'll walk right down that isle and look right in your face and say 'John Cena your fired!'".
Based on McMahon's words it would seem that John Cena will defeat CM Punk at Money In The Bank; However, if we take a closer look at what McMahon said we can see other possibilities exist. Punk could still win the match without Cena being fired. The key words to look at are "if CM Punk walks out of Chicago with this Championship". Punk could defeat Cena and during his celebration the Raw Money In The Bank Ladder Match winner could cash in their contract for a WWE Championship Match. If the Raw Money In The Bank winner cashes in their Briefcase successfully, Punk would no longer be WWE Champion. Therefore, Cena would not be fired because Punk is not leaving Chicago with the WWE Championship.

Post a Commentgood article!
I kind of predict Cena winning, but you never know in the WWE! Reply to your comment: I totally plan to transfer my minutes online (which you can do), rather than through the phone. I don't want to sit on the phone with customer service lol.
I am glad for Punk. I believe even baseball players are allowed three strikes. Well done.
I know CM Punk plans on leaving after the 17th, but that does not guarantee he will lose the match. Trish Stratus won the Women’s Championship in her final match. Stratus won the Championship in her hometown. Punk will also be competing in his hometown on the 17th.
Punk will be leaving the WWE after the 17th. He hasn't resigned.
Gotta love Vince McMahon and Linda McMahon and all the McMahons for the entertainment they have put into wrestling over the years.
good for the punk
