Post a CommentYour comment really touches me--I felt the same way about Nirvana. I'm a little older than you; I was a junior in high school when Cobain died. Nirvana is the musical accompaniment to an unforgettable time in my life. :)
Possibly not my "favorite" per se, but unquestionably my most important. I was 13 at the time of Cobain's death..."Unplugged" aired on my 14th birthday. Nirvana opened my eyes to an entire other universe. For the first time, I understood the difference between an artist and a performer, and I recognized music...real, pure, unadulterated music, as the most true and powerful form of human expression. Nothing else was ever the same.
