Halloween has not gone to the dogs, but the dogs are headlining the show on Saturday, October 30th, at Cobble Hill's Halloween Dog Parade, according to the Cobble Hill Blog.

The dogs will parade their costumes from 3:30 to 6:00 pm along Warren and Congress Streets and Verandah Place.

You might catch a real, live, canine angel, devil, bumblebee, butterfly, or who knows what? So, don't forget your cameras.

The dogs will be competing in a costume contest, too. No word yet on prizes, but word is there will be plenty of fun and doggie treats.

A donation of $10-$20 is suggested for entry into the contest. Donations will benefit "Seeds in the Middle," a group that promotes physical fitness for underprivileged children the fun way, soccer.

The parade still needs judges. So, if you have an eye for doggie fashion, please volunteer.

And dog owners who are making your pooches' costumes, remember, there are only two weeks left till the Parade.

I share with you a picture of my Angel in her Halloween costume last year.

Have a Happy Halloween, everyone, and good luck to all of the doggies in the contest.

From the skyscrapers of NYC, I face strength. From the people of NYC, I gain understanding. And from the heart of NYC, I feel inspiration. So, I tend to write about the city quite a bit.  View profile
