I purchased these stereo earphones in part because they have a nice style. Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones are mostly round silver earbuds with a modern style. The design is suitable for both men and women, making this audio product more versatile than some other earphone choices. They are small enough that I was able to enjoy music without them being noticeable in public. There is a silver bar attached to the round earbuds that attaches to a black rubbery component before the cords are exposed. This is where Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones separate themselves from typical plain and silver earbuds. There is a dark grey colored Coby logo on the silver bar for both the left and right earphone. The black component actually compliments this logo, making Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones a trendy audio product.

Quality
The earphones are lightweight, so this Coby audio product does live up to it's description when it comes to heaviness. Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones came with a plastic carrying case. This can make it easier to transport the audio item without getting the wires tied into a mess. The only decision that would have to be made here is whether or not you feel like removing them from the case to listen to audio and then returning them to the same accessory once you are finished. There are many times when I have chosen to stop using the carrying case altogether because it seemed like too much work.

It would have been great if Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones came with those foam pads. Even if the cushions were not of high quality, it would be more comfortable to wear this electronics product for lengthy periods of time. Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones did not do a very good job at keeping out other noise when they are in use. I heard street traffic, casual conversations and lots of other everyday sounds when using these stereo earphones. For those listening to music, this will cause someone to turn the volume up more in order to drown out the other unwanted noise. That can have negative affects on your hearing.

Price
Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones are cheap and that is the main reason why I purchased this electronics product. It costs $4.99 at most music and electronics stores. I would not be surprised if they were sold at discount stores as well. While $5 may be a lot of money to some people, it brings more quality than earphones that were purchased at a dollar store for no more than 99 cents. When it comes to expenses, Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones are one of the most affordable electronics products in this category.

Usability
There is a volume control device attached to the black cords for Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones. When I purchased this electronics product, I was under the impression that the volume level could be controlled entirely from these stereo earphones. After using the product for the first time I realized that you can only use this control device to turn the volume on or off right from the cords. That was a somewhat inconvenient discovery. The fact that both ends either say "Min" or "Max" can be misleading.

After using Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones just a few times, I started noticing some dropouts in both the right and left side. If I moved the cords, the sound would go away and come back. This was a clear indication that there may possibly be a short in one of my electronics. It was difficult to determine whether my listening device had a short in it or if these stereo earphones were losing their stability. Since I have not found the actual source of that on and off again sound, it would not be right to immediately blame the Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones for some very annoying moments when music cannot be enjoyed. It is similar to talking to someone on your cell phone and not being able to hear the other person because someone has a low signal.

Verdict
Some earphones cost up to $20, which is why Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones deserves some applause. While I did not pay a lot for this electronics product, earpads would be a much better substitute for the plastic carrying case that accompanies Coby Super Lightweight Stereo Earphones. If you want inexpensive earphones, this is a nice audio selection to consider. However, it may be foolish to expect them to last for a long time. These stereo earphones are good for the time that they are usable.
