Cocaine Bought with Monopoly Money Ends in Pistol-Whipping
If You Want to Know What a Pistol-whipping Feels Like, Buy Cocaine with Monopoly Money
The title of the news story caught my attention because it struck me as funny. Mind you now, this is one of those drug deals gone right and wrong at the same time just from the title of the news story. It went right to begin with because the drug user initially got away with buy coke with Monopoly money. Of course, the wrong part is the pistol whipping received by the user at the hands of his dealer.
While reading through the news story, like a great reporter should do, Marc LaVoie told it took two weeks for the drug dealer to realize he had been taken by the buyer of the deal. Two weeks, eh? That is what made this a bit funnier than the title itself. How could you not check to make sure it was cash in hand, seriously drug dealer?
First rule of thumb for anyone dealing with cash whether it's a legit business or not, is to know the size of U.S. currency bills. Anyone who has ever seen monopoly money knows it's smaller than a dollar bill. Even if the cash is folded in half, cash and Monopoly money still are different in size. The drug dealer should have been tipped off by just the size alone whether it was in an envelope or not, whether it was dark in the area where the transaction took place, and by the way the buyer was acting.
Sure druggies have their quirks when they are wanting drugs, but even when they are trying to con someone, wouldn't you think their actions would be amplified one way or another? Now on to how the pistol-whipping went down.
Even though it took two weeks for the dealer to notice the error of his ways, he called the buyer back to his house. The dealer rectified the situation all right by way of a pistol-whipping. The pistol-whipping reminded me of an old western where the good guy or whoever was smacked upside the head with the butt of a rifle or the handle of a pistol.
One thing a drug user should never do when buying cocaine with Monopoly money is not go back to the scene of the crime. In this case, two crimes when it comes to buying illegal drugs. If you are smart enough to walk away alive with the drugs after paying with play money to play, never go back to the dealer to see what he wants or to buy more. One way or another, they're going to bust your chops somehow. It would probably not be wise to buy drugs from any dealer in the area or state your in again because your name and face is going to be Mudd with other dealers.
When pulled over by an officer for a traffic violation, the drug buyer told the officer he had been pistol-whipped by his drug dealer for paying with Monopoly money two weeks earlier after going back to his home a second time. Some things people do boggles the mind.
