Cockroach Phobia Poem

This Sounds Blasphemous , I Know !

Oodles
Oh, the nasty insects of the planet
Crawling over linoleum, concrete, granite
But the worst of all is the cockroach
Feared by most, it is beyond approach
But how about we ask a roach some day
To tell how it feels about our human display
Of Raid and Sandals and Brooms and Bats
Of flying pans, hoses, paint-balls, and rotten vats

It is likely we'll hear a telling tale
Of humble roachhood braving jail
Of near-death earthquakes by human shoes
Of high-pitched screams and greenish ooze
Of scary men and blinding beams
Of rudely interrupted dreams
Of peaceful roach parties sent into chaos
And newborn bugs deafened by Amadeus

So next time a big black roach crawls by
Just let it give that yummy cake a try!
