Cocktail Recipes: A Real Blueberry Sweetie

Sarah Afshar
The Blueberry Sweetheart is ultimately one of the most popular drinks on the planet. Whenever I was bar tending, many individuals would ask me to make them the "Blueberry Sweetheart". This drink is extremely undemanding, as it does not require numerous ingredients, however; it can be improved with added ingredients. When other ingredients are added to the Blueberry Sweetheart, the name does tend to change, however; if you use Ginger Ale and you add something simple with the Ginger Ale, it tends to stay the same.

The traditional drink includes: Ginger Ale, Blueberry Liqueur, and Amaretto Liqueur. The ingredients are not in all equal parts, as you must add 8 oz. of Ginger Ale, ½ oz. of Blueberry Liqueur, and ½ oz. of Amaretto Liqueur.

I have developed an marvelous, yet novel way of making this undervalued cocktail.

A Real Blueberry Sweetie

8 oz. Ginger Ale
1 oz. Blueberry Liqueur
1 oz. Amaretto Liqueur
1 oz. Peach Schnapps
1 splash of Grenadine

Combine the Ginger Ale, Blueberry Liqueur, Amaretto Liqueur, Peach Schnapps, and Grenadine and serve in a chilled glass on the rocks with a regular or maraschino cherry.
