Cocktail Recipes: Trinity Cocktail

Darlene Michaud
A Trinity Cocktail is a delicious gin based drink that is similar to a Martini. It's very easy to make and only requires 3 ingredients. Below is the basic recipe along with some fun and unusual variations.

Recipe for a Trinity Cocktail

3/4 ounce gin
3/4 ounce sweet vermouth
3/4 ounce dry vermouth

Add all ingredients to a cocktail shaker with one or two ice cubes and shake. Pour into a cocktail glass and serve.

Variations for a Trinity Cocktail

Trinity on the rocks: Pour into an old fashioned glass with ice cubes.

Tall Trinity: Double the recipe so you are using 1.5 ounces of each gin, sweet vermouth and dry vermouth and serve it in a highball glass with ice cubes or cracked ice.

Trinity Fizz: Serve in a highball glass with ice cubes or cracked ice and top off with club soda.

Trinity Blood: Add a drizzle of grenadine syrup and do not stir.

Cherry Trinity: Add about a teaspoon of maraschino cherry juice to the cocktail and stir. Serve with a maraschino cherry as a garnish.

Trinitini: Serve with a green olive as a garnish. You can either let the green olive sink to the bottom of the glass or put it on a cocktail pick.

Trinity Freeze: Make a Tall Trinity as directed above and put it in a blender with 3 ice cubes and blend on high speed. Add more ice cubes if necessary to get it to make it as frozen as you like.

Perfect Trinity: Add a dash of bitters to the basic Trinity recipe.

Trinity Twist: Add a twist of lemon as a garnish.
