I bought the Coffee Duck for a quick and easy coffee pod that was inexpensive and here is what I found.
Coffee Duck Reviews: Price
I bought my Coffee Duck filter online at the Amazon website. I found this to be a great deal and it real saved me some money. Basically, the Coffee Duck cost about $14 before shipping.
Once shipping was added in it took another $6. It was well worth it. I have been wanting to brew my own coffee and quit buying expensive coffee pos and the Coffee Duck did this for me.
You will save $20 the first month alone, which pays for the Coffee Duck.
Coffee Duck Reviews : Use
Basically the Coffee Duck is a reusable coffee filter for Senseo coffee machines. It looks like the metal pod holders that come with the machine. It is about the size of the two cup pod holder.
You basically fill the basket with coffee grounds up to the top. Next, add on their plastic filter. Place in your Senseo Coffee machine an start as usual.
Literally the Coffee Duck works exactly like those overpriced coffee pods, but you can put your favorite Kona coffee in your Senseo and save some money skipping the Kona pods!
Coffee Duck Reviews : Overall
Overall, I love it. It really works well. The coffee tastes great, I do not have to deal with messy filters, and it is to wash and clean. There ar ea few things you should know.
Part of what makes people love their Senseo Coffee machine is the rich foamy "cream" that forms on the top of your coffee while it is brewing. You will not get as much foamy creama on top of your coffee using the Coffee Duck.
Personally, I did not find this to be a draw back. The foam is nice, but hey, I never had it on my coffee before and I really do not miss it.
Also, I find that I really have to shake out the water form the Coffee Duck filter when I wash it. I told you I love it. These are the only two drawbacks I can come up with, so that is saying a lot!
So, skip the Kona coffee pods and bland tasting Senseo coffee pods and try out the Coffee Duck reusable coffee filter for Senseo Machines. It works great.

Post a CommentBought "The Duck"....bought a Capresso grinder....Senseo died....replaced it with the proper model Senseo. Before I got good coffee with small amount of crema; now get 3/4 cup of good coffee but no crema at all. When a use a pod I get a full rich thick head. I've experimented with different grinds with no difference.
Any suggestions?
I use the coffeeduck/senseo with freshly ground coffee from my Sunbeam EM0480 burr grinder. The coffee is far better than what I got from the orignal pods and the crema is in fact better with this setup. Just make sure you run some hot water through the coffeeduck before filling it and preheat your cups. This is about as good as single serve coffee gets but I am looking forward to retiring it next month when my Rancilio Silvia arrives.
