Coffee Gallery in Haleiwa: The Best Coffee Shop on the North Shore

One of my favorite hangouts for some coffee and to get some work done is the Coffee Gallery in Haleiwa. It is located in the North Shore market place, but is a bit hard to find as it is tucked further back. It is not readily visible from the main road, but if you drive in to the market place you will be able to find it towards the back.

They carry a variety of drinks, of course the usual types of coffee, as well as a local specialty - Kona Coffee, a favorite of many because of its mild and sweet taste. You can also get one of the many different desserts that they carry. I personally like the carrot cakes and banana breads. They also make a vegan version for others on a special diet.

The coffee and the desserts are one of the reasons that I go to the Coffee Gallery, but the truth of the matter is, the main reason I go there is because they offer free wireless internet to all their customers. If your computer is equipped with a wireless connection you can sit down in the café and log on. This is perfect if you are traveling and need to check your email or any of your businesses online.

As far as I know, this is the only café that offers free wireless service on the entire North Shore. I have also hunted as far as Central Oahu and have not found anything. So in my opinion this is a gem of a deal for such a small town like Haleiwa.

The seating area is an enclosed and covered area that allows for the breeze to come through the screen widows on those hot and humid Hawaiian summers. The place is never really crowded so you can always find a seat and the people there range from students to telecommuters. But what if you don't have your laptop with you? No need to fret, they have two work stations that you can use. However these do come at a cost. They make it easier though as you can just swipe your credit card to use the internet.

All in all, the Coffee Gallery is a cool hangout if you want to get some java, check your email or hang out with a few friends after hitting the beach. Experience the best coffee shop that the North Shore has to offer in the Coffee Gallery, you won't be disappointed.
