My favorite coffee shops are comfortable spots where you can sit in an overstuffed chair and put your feet up if you want. It's all about the comfort at a coffee house, oh and of course the coffee. I live south of Dayton, Ohio in Springboro. My favorite coffee shop is a small little spot in northern Springboro called JumpStart Java.
JumpStart Java is a lovely little shop run mostly by the owners, they have some extra help in the shop on the weekends. This wonderful little spot is on Main Street in Springboro and is open from 7 a.m. to 3 p.m. each day expect Sunday. The owner's daughters make the mouth-watering pastries that are on display and very hard not to buy. The coffee is great and includes all the fancy cappuccinos and espressos of a large chain, but it is somewhat cheaper at around $3.25 for a regular size cup. But warning, there is no wireless network available for working.
A little farther from me is Caribou Coffee and I love to spend a nice long Sunday afternoon with my feet up and with my laptop writing. My Caribou Coffee is located at 5839 Far Hills Ave, Dayton, Ohio and is just about 15 minutes from my house. This coffee shop is not so close to college campus that it is always full of students. It has great wireless connections that don't drop on you, comfortable seating in front of the fireplace in leather chairs and an overall great atmosphere.
My third favorite coffee spot is Starbucks in Centerville at 1003 South Main Street. It is centrally located and I love the convenience of the drive through window. The people that work the window are always polite, quick and professional. Coffee runs at your typical Starbucks prices of $3 - $5 dollars depending on the order. They always have the New York Times which I like to read sometimes. Seating can be a little uncomfortable since the sun shines in pretty strongly and the blinds aren't the best for blocking it. But otherwise all is well at Starbucks in Centerville.
These are my three favorite coffee shops near where I live in Springboro, OH. I enjoy spending time at all three of them, each for its own unique reason.

I like the concept of "coffee havens", nice choice of words and good resource for those needing coffee while in Dayton.
