Three: Tastea!
Coffee has an acquired (read: yucky) taste. It often requires a ton of sugar, cream, milk, or chocolate to make it drinkable. Tea is delicious the first time, every time. You can count on the lightness of tea to bounce right over your taste buds, no problem. Tea doesn't need any sweetener. To top it off: coffee breath is the worst. You'll notice there is no such thing as 'tea breath.' Even more so, whole leaf teas often have astringent qualities to them, so you're actually freshening your breath by drinking tea.
Tea is delicious. Coffee? Not so much.
Two: Easy on the wallet
It's no secret that heading out to your corner coffee shop is going to take a toll on your wallet. Let's go easy and call a typical cup of joe about $4.00, even though it's usually more for a medium or large size. Many people hit the corner coffee shop at least once a day. $4.00, 7 days a week, 4 weeks per month is $112.00 for a coffee every day. High quality loose leaf tea is less than $40 for a month's worth (that's two cups of tea a day for one month). Straight up, you save $72.00 a month drinking tea. Here's the coolest part: For the optimum health benefits drinking high quality tea, it is recommended you drink around six cups a day. If you were going to drink the recommended in coffee, that'd be $24.00 per day, $168.00 a week, and $672.00 a month. (Hopefully after reading this article, you won't be drinking that much joe! Gross!) By those numbers, you've paid for one month's worth of tea for the price of coffee in less than two days.
Coffee is a budget buster. Tea is "easy-teasy" on your wallet.
One: Tea for your health!
The number one reason to drink tea is for your health. Only the caffeine in coffee has been associated with enhancing health, and the added sugar basically voids out those benefits (and most teas have enough caffeine to get you going, not jittery, anyway). Tea has been used to enhance health for centuries. It contains tannin and catechin, antioxidants that prevent cancer and heart disease, among many other benefits. Loose leaf tea is known for its detoxifying and slimming benefits to your health. Tea has the pinch of caffeine you want for a pick-me-up in the afternoons, without the crash that coffee tends to bring. Coffee can't (really) help you lose weight. Tea can.
End of debate.
