Coke : the Real Thing En Espanõl

What was Still Is, but from Mexico at Costco

David A. Reinstein, LCSW
The Real Thing
Is still as it was
(but in 12 ounce bottles)
In Mexico
And Costco.
Both places end
In an 'O.'
Coincidence?
Costing three times
What the Classic
Unreal Thing
Costs in cans here.
Sugar must be getting rare
As high fructose
Corn Syrup
Pushes it out
Of the market.

Santa would not have
Liked the Classic.
Corn syrup lacks
The crispness
His jolliness requires
And the refreshing
Taste
We ordinary people
Crave.

God bless Mexico.
Home of the
Real Thing,
Genuine VW bugs
And the manual
Labor we require
To keep North America
On the go.
It's the Real Thing.

I love 'real' Coke. You can get it in a lot of countries where they still use sugar as opposed to corn syrup. I have a hard time enjoying an American/European Coke now that I've tasted the real thing.
