As you may have remembered Lily played by Kathryn Morris, was shot in the season final and she came back, you were left not knowing if she would live or die. As they start the night, a woman drops a box and everyone in the squad room jumps. They go into there next case of a woman claim her son was innocent of a crime and then hanged himself.

What you may not know is that Kathryn suffered from postpartum depression after the birth of her bay last season, but she has return to her role on Cold Case. Playing her part must be hard since she has had a problem with this mind disease that takes over your mind. She has overcome her depression with help of a counselor and returns with a profile as being diligent in her work.

The boss is happy to have her back and wants to know if she has received and talked to any counselor yet. She wants to return to the field, but the boss says she needs to go to see a counselor. She thanks her partner for being there with her.

She can participate in interviews, but cannot go into the field. She still has her way with making the suspects of talking. She is not affected by the shooting as we see. She is still up to the job. The case is open and the team has to find out what happen in the newest cold case.

They find that the case they are working on might have been covered up from inside the department. If this is true they have there work cut out for them. The story takes them into the lives of kids who may have killed someone.

They confront an officer who played his part in the cover up. Who will prevail, the person in prison for killing them or someone else?

Kathryn plays her part well. Although she had small parts in the case of the murdered children, Kathryn (Lily) is remarkable for coming back to her work as a cold case profile.

The father was found to kill the boy who he was left in charge of and the suspect in prison did not kill the boy. Lily (Kathryn) goes to the bathroom to talk to the mother and asks, "How does it feel to sleep with him every night and make love to him when he killed your son?"

Kathryn played her part as great as always, even with her problems with postpartum depression. Postpartum depression affects more and more child bearing women and Kathryn (Lily) was know exception.
