This site is located in a L-shaped shopping strip in Tacoma. The physical address is 2601 B North Pearl Street. There is ample parking. The storefront itself is appealing and has many outdoor tables with chairs. The signage is very noticeable from the street. Inside, the site has proper lighting and is very welcoming.
Upon entering the site, I was greeted enthusiastically by a staff member. Other staff members were upbeat, too. I could sense an air of fun in this place. I was asked if I was familiar with the Cold Stone Creamery. When I said "no" I was introduced to the concept behind Cold Stone Creamery. The staff member was very knowledgeable about both the company and its delectable offerings. That was very nice to see. So, then I had the menu board with its items described to me. I was told how the ice cream was made onsite daily with only fresh ingredients. I was also directed to the wide variety of items called "mix ins". It definitely was not something I usually saw in ice cream shops. Cold Stone Creamery is not your typical ice cream shop.
Cold Stone Creamery has their standard flavors such as chocolate, mint, vanilla, etc. They also have featured flavors such as wasabi ginger (yes, that's right). There are sorbets and frozen yogurts, too. In addition to this, they have 'no sugar added' ice cream. To help customers decide, free samples are offered. In fact, so many free samples can be enjoyed, it can be overwhelming. Every one I sampled was absolutely delicious, fresh tasting, and CREAMY!!
It needs to be mentioned that Cold Stone Creamery also sells ice cream cakes, banana splits, waffle cones, etc. There is a wide variety of items to choose from.
What is particularly fun about this place is the name of their serving sizes. Cold Stone Creamery dishes range from Like It! (small), Love It! (medium), and Got To Have It! (large). I think that's clever.
Anyways, I decided on mint ice cream with chopped walnuts in a Like It! size. Cold Stone Creamery's mint ice cream is the best I have ever tasted, bar none. It has a refreshingly strong, but delightful mint taste. I watched as the walnuts were folded into the ice cream on the chilled stone.
The prices are rather high for ice cream. After tasting just a sample, however, I was willing to treat myself. I never looked back!
Cold Stone Creamery has gift cards and a birthday club for customers to enjoy.
Partaking of my frozen delicacy was a welcomed treat at the end of a long day. For those unfamiliar with Cold Stone Creamery, try it. You will like it!
