Coleto Creek Reservoir and Park, located at 365 Coleto Park Road, Victoria, Texas 77905, is located halfway between the Texas cities of Goliad and Victoria and offers its guests activities such as water skiing, fishing and swimming on a 3100 acre lake as well as bird watching. The reservoir serves "cooling pond for the International Power America coal fired power plant."

Rvers who choose to stay at Coleto Creek Reservoir and Park will find 52 campsite that are considered multi-use. These campsites have 20/30 amp electric service, water, a bbq grill and a picnic table. These are not located with a waterfront view. There are also 6 premium multi-use campsites that are 20/30/50 amp electric service, water, a bbq grill and a picnic table. These RV sites have waterfront views. The fees for multi-use campsites are $26 per night and the fee for premium campsites are $31.

Amenities on the property are a swimming area, a 200' fishing pier that is lighted, a sandy beach and a 4 lane boat ramp. There is also a mile and a half hiking and nature trail, a laundry facility, a dump station for RVs, showers and restrooms. Pets are welcome as long as they are on a leash when outside the RV. Just remember to be respectful of other people in the area and clean up after your pet.

RVers who do stay at Coleto Creek Reservoir and Park need to keep in mind that the entrance gates are locked from midnight until four in the morning. Also, if the RVers are staying a long time, they should know that from April 1 to September 30 maximum stay is 14 nights, then must be gone for 72 hours before returning to the park, but from October 1 to March 31 there is no maximum stay except for premium sites which are 14 night maximum stay year round.

Coleto Creek Reservoir and Park opened in February 1981 for the public to enjoy year-round. There are 40 acres of the 190 acre park that have been developed for guests to use, giving plenty of room for those who stay here for a night or longer if you are not looking to stay in a traditional RV park even though it does have many of the same amenities, just created differently, such as swimming in the reservoir instead of a maintained swimming pool.
